Uncover Reading Founder
Hi, I’m Christy Jackson.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from York University and spent years as a technical writer, helping make complex information clear and useful.
My path into structured literacy began when my daughter was identified with dyslexia. As I learned about the Orton-Gillingham approach, I saw how explicit, structured instruction can make reading feel understandable rather than mysterious.
Throughout high school and university, I worked with children with developmental disabilities and diverse learning needs. Today, I am trained in the Barton Method and hold a Foundations Certificate from Orton-Gillingham Canada.
I started Uncover Reading because there is a real need for more thoughtful support for children with dyslexia and other reading challenges.
